MEDITAIONS

Meditations are experimental works by Chapman which explore pathways through space. They provide calming spaces, where line, light and contrast provide a journey though the defined outer space of the works; where the surfaces and form create  pathways  for the eye to travel and for the mind to find calm within the journey. The softest of material and light give the works a gently poetic quality. The works start with an experiment charcoal drawing  where the journey of the work is mapped before translating into three dimensions.
